Description
This paper shares some characteristics with top-layer paper, such as resistance to moisture and inherent fiber strengths, but it does not require suitable smoothness for printing or coating with bleached fibers for whitening or printing purposes. These papers can be made from 100% recycled fibers, but for hygiene reasons, they must meet acceptable standards, as in some cases, contact with food products may cause unpleasant odors or impart an undesirable scent to these materials. Papers used in the middle layers of five-layer and seven-layer cardboard are of the same type, serving primarily as a bonding and bulk-forming material. Most domestic paper mills produce this paper for cardboard manufacturing purposes. This type of paper is produced as a single layer.
